Immune-enhancing mechanisms define new oncology targets at AACR

New ways to enhance the immune response against solid tumors, and new ways to make existing immunotherapies more effective, were the focus of new target discovery at AACR 2026. 

In an analysis of the nearly 7,000 abstracts presented at this year’s American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) conference in San Diego, BioCentury identified 176 new targets proposed to treat cancer.
