CARsgen’s satri-cel shows that CAR T therapy can deliver meaningful benefit in gastric cancer even without reproducing the broad, durable responses that have defined its use in blood cancers. As the first CAR T approved for a solid tumor, satri-cel provides an early benchmark for the modality: clinically meaningful disease control, leaving next-generation designs to test how much further efficacy can improve.
